About this product
We fell for this one the moment we unpacked it. Three carolers at the bottom, two in the middle, one at the top, and together they make a Christmas tree. It takes a second to catch, and then you can't unsee it. Every singer is mid-note with eyes closed and bow tie straight, holding a green songbook, and the books spell FA LA LA LA LA LA as your eye travels down the rows.
The scene was drawn by hand by artist Emily Little, and the glaze keeps all of that warmth: soft reds and greens, pale blue coats, a line of little black shoes across the base. The platter is cut to follow the shape of the choir, so even empty on a shelf it reads as a tree.
- Dimensions: 10.0" x 5.0"
- Material: Glazed stoneware
- Artist: Emily Little
- Slim tree silhouette that slots between larger dishes on a full table
- Handcrafted, so the glaze shifts gently from one piece to the next
We reach for shapes like this when the table is crowded and everything still needs a home. It's made for the things that get passed hand to hand: sugar cookies, macarons, peppermint bark, a row of shortbread that won't last the evening. When the food is gone, stand it on a plate rail or lean it against the backsplash and let it be art.
It's the host gift we keep buying two of, one to give and one to keep, and the piece guests pick up to look at more closely. Quantities are limited to what we have on the shelf.
