For high-powered applications, Exedy offers twin and triple multi-plate clutches designed for high power street as well as drag, road, and rally racing. The Hyper Stage 5 triple cerametallic clutch features rigid discs with T5001 cerametallic friction material for extreme heat resistance, rated for approximately 800 ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel. The kit includes a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel, flywheel bolts, and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. Despite the additional power capability, most multi-plate clutches exhibit light pedal pressure thanks to the patented clutch cushion function that provides a half-engaged zone.
