Some layers earn their place in your wardrobe the moment you put them on. With its chunky texture, open-front silhouette, and oversized patch pockets, Everyday Vest is equal parts practical and stylish. It has the ease of a vest, the coziness of a cardigan, and the versatility of a lightweight jacket—making it the kind of piece you'll reach for throughout the year.

Knit in our signature Merino No. 5 yarn, this project grows quickly on the needles, letting you enjoy the satisfying rhythm of chunky knitting while creating a piece you'll wear for years to come. The generous pockets add both function and character, turning a simple layering piece into a handmade favorite you'll reach for again and again.

The body of this vest is knit flat in one piece from the bottom up. The back panel is worked first. Without casting off, the first front panel is worked. The second front panel is worked after. Stitches for the armholes are picked up from the outer edge of the garment and worked in the round. Stitches for the neckband are picked up from the inner edge of the garment and worked flat. Pockets are optionally added.
