Fifteen days of artisan craftsmanship go into each Estella top. Handwoven on a traditional backstrap loom by women artisans in Mexico, this cotton blouse brings together intricate woven stripes, floral motifs, and hand-finished crochet details.

A relaxed silhouette, V-shaped neckline, and wide sleeves make it easy to pair with denim or tailored trousers. The textured, open weave highlights the handwork behind every piece. Each Estella reflects generations of weaving tradition, with subtle handmade variations that make every piece unique.

Natural cotton with red woven detailing these tunic style tops are ONE SIZE, intended to fit XS–L with a relaxed drape. Garment measurements:

• 21 inches wide × 24 inches long.
• Model is 5'9" and typically wears XS. Compare these measurements with a favorite blouse to help choose your fit.”

These looms are tied behind the waist of an artisan like a belt, then anchored to a post, crossing the spools of thread left to right. This piece is entirely hand made by a co-op of women artisans in Oaxaca. A timeless design, with details giving it a 'contemporary-vintage feeling' to be worn by the modern woman.

FABRIC & CARE

Due to the intricate hand loomed design, we recommend washing by hand and drying by laying garment flat, no dryer. 

ARTISAN COMMUNITY

These beautiful pieces are handmade in Amuzgos, along the border of Guerrero and Oaxaca, Mexico. The process beings when the cotton yarn is dunked for washing and hung up to dry in the sun in order to pre-shrink before looming. Once the threads are set up on several looms, artists sit on the ground, tie belts around their waist and begin looming. To loom each panel, the process can take at minimum 7 days. From there, the artisans cut the panels to sew into the blouse shape. Following that the crochet details are done. Each of these garments reflect generations of traditions for these artisans, making each piece a one-of-a-kind work of art.
