EDIC Glidemaster Carpet Wands: Stainless Steel, Four Versions, With or Without the Hose
The Glidemaster is the wand EDIC packs in its Galaxy "WK" kits and the one most cleaners picture when they think of a stainless steel carpet wand: a polished 1.5 inch stainless steel vacuum tube, a low-profile head angled to slide under desks and overhangs, a 1200 PSI brass angle valve and a female quick disconnect that matches EDIC hoses. It's heavy enough to sit flat on the carpet and pull water out hard, and stainless means it outlasts the machine it's attached to.
There are four versions. Two things decide which one you need: the pump pressure of your machine and whether you want one jet or two.
Dual jet S-bend (12 inch). Two smaller spray tips give a wider, more even fan, so each pass covers the full head with less striping. The S-bend lets the head stay flat while you stand upright. Made in a 100 to 250 PSI version and a 500 PSI version with smaller tips.
Single jet (12 inch or 10 inch). One larger tip (11003) puts down the same nominal flow as the dual jet's two 110015 tips, with half the tips and check valves to look after. The 10 inch head is the narrow one for stairs, closets and small machines.
Every Glidemaster has a stainless steel strainer and check valve behind each tip, so the wand stops dripping the moment you release the trigger. Buy the wand alone, or pick a hose length above to get EDIC's matching Galaxy hose as a kit.
Which Glidemaster Fits Your Machine
12" dual jet S-bend, 100 to 250 PSI, #1034-110015FB ($295): the everyday wand for the Galaxy 5, the Galaxy 2000 SX and IX, the Galaxy Pro 2700IX, and the Polaris and Supernova in hose mode. It's the wand in EDIC's Galaxy 5, 2000IX and Pro 2700IX "WK" kits.
12" dual jet S-bend, 500 PSI, #1034-11001FB ($295): for the 500 PSI Galaxy 2000CX, Galaxy Pro 2700CX and 2700FX, and the Endeavor. Smaller 11001 tips keep the flow right at high pressure, so the carpet doesn't get overwet.
12" single jet, #1033-11003FB ($276): for 100 to 250 PSI machines. It's the wand in EDIC's Galaxy 2000SX kits and is on EDIC's accessory list for the Polaris and Supernova.
10" single jet, #330-11003FB ($266): the compact one. It's the wand in the 330AC-CM kit for the Fivestar and Comet, in the heated Bravo kit, and a good match for carpeted floors with the Galaxy automotive extractors.
Need the Hose Too? Glidemaster Wand and Hose Kits
For the Galaxy 5, Galaxy 2000, Galaxy Pro and Endeavor, EDIC sells five Glidemaster kits with its Galaxy vacuum and solution hose: 1-1/2 inch crush-proof vacuum hose banded to a high-pressure, high-heat solution line, brass quick disconnects at both ends. Each kit costs less than buying the two separately.

15 ft or 25 ft? The 15 ft hose covers hotel rooms and offices with the machine at the door and keeps the most suction at the wand. The 25 ft hose cleans a classroom or a conference room from one spot. Combinations EDIC doesn't make as a kit show as unavailable above; for those, add the wand and the Galaxy hose in the length you want (15, 25 or 50 ft) separately.
Glidemaster or Triton?
Want something lighter? The Triton (from $790, also sold with the hose) is EDIC's 6.5 lb aircraft aluminum wand with a UHMW glide, easier on shoulders over a full shift. For heavily soiled carpet, the Powermate adds a 2500 RPM brush. For stair treads and vehicle floors, the stair and van wand ($253) is a 30 inch version with a 10 inch head.

After each job, run clean water through the wand for a minute to flush detergent out of the tips. If the spray pattern turns uneven, unscrew the check valve cap behind the tip and rinse the strainer. EDIC's 12 inch Teflon wand glide (1012AC-GL), $100 and included in some Galaxy kits, clips onto the 12 inch heads to cut drag on dense carpet.
Kits ship directly from EDIC as two boxes, one for the wand and one for the hose.
