For those who love handwriting, this fine paper pad from Midori is an essential for practicing your craft. An underlay sheet is included, with one side lined for horizontal handwriting and the other lined for vertical handwriting in Japanese. Place the underlay under your current sheet of paper and use the lines to guide you. When you tear out your finished page, it'll look like you naturally write in perfectly straight lines!
The paper used in this pad is Midori MD Paper, the world's best stock for general writing and correspondence. We tested this pad with broad fountain pens, precise pointed dip pens, pencils, and brush pens, and nothing bled through to the other side. If you like to use both sides, this paper is definitely opaque enough to do so.
In an interesting twist, Midori has included both classic cream-colored MD Paper and bright white MD Paper in this pad. There are 25 sheets of each color, with white in the front and cream in the back. A piece of chipboard provides a solid backing for the pad.
