📘 Overview

The skid steer rotating base the whole range is built around. The EZ Spot UR Double Cylinder Rotating Base (EZ-001D) is the base that gives every EZ Spot UR tool head its rotation. Two 2.5 x 12.5 inch hydraulic cylinders, each developing 14,726 lb of breakout force, turn a 2.94 inch 4140 square shaft through 127 degrees to the operator’s left, carried on two tapered roller bearings. Any tool head with a 3 inch square receiver slides onto that shaft and pins with a 3/4 inch pin, so one base serves your whole set — claws, grapples, forks, pot handlers and rail tools. It is the standard base across the range and the one most tool heads are specified against.

⚙ Key Features of the Double Cylinder Rotating Base

  • 127 degrees of powered rotation to the operator’s left — the difference between placing a load and dropping it.
  • Two 2.5" x 12.5" cylinders, 14,726 lb of breakout force each, driving the shaft.
  • 2.94" 4140 square shaft sized for any EZ Spot UR tool head with a 3" square receiver.
  • Single 3/4" pin tool changes — no tools beyond the pin.
  • Two tapered roller bearings carry the shaft for smooth rotation under load.
  • Grade 50 steel, core welded.
  • Ships complete with hoses, flush-faced couplers, spring hose mount and wiring harness.

🔑 Why the Double Cylinder Rotating Base Earns Its Place

  • Buy it once, use it with everything — the base is the shared cost across every EZ Spot UR tool head you own, so the second and third heads are far cheaper than the first.
  • Turns lifting into placing — rotation is what lets a pole go vertical, a rock sit into a wall, a bin tip out.
  • Change tools in under a minute — one pin, no hydraulic disconnection at the tool head.
  • Built for repeated impact — a 4140 shaft on tapered roller bearings, not a bushed pivot.
  • Standard flow — 20–30 GPM, so any ordinary skid steer runs it.

📊 Double Cylinder Rotating Base Specifications

🔗 Which Tool Heads Fit the Double Cylinder Rotating Base?

The Double Cylinder Rotating Base accepts any EZ Spot UR tool head built with a 3" square female receiver — the common interface across the range. Heads change by pulling one 3/4" pin out of the shaft and sliding the next one on, so a single base serves every tool you own.

🚜 Which Machines Take This Skid Steer Rotating Base?

The Double Cylinder Rotating Base attaches to skid steer loaders and compact track loaders equipped with a Universal Quick Attach (SSQA) system, including:

BobcatCaterpillarJohn DeereCaseNew HollandTakeuchiKubotaGehl

The machine must supply 20–30 GPM at 3,000 psi through an auxiliary circuit with ¾" flush-face couplings, plus an electrical connection for the harness. The base can also be adapted to excavators, wheel loaders, telehandlers and backhoes with a special bolt-on mount.

Compatibility is determined by mount type, not brand — confirm your machine’s quick attach configuration and auxiliary hydraulic flow before ordering. Everything needed to confirm fitment is on this page — add it to your cart to check delivered pricing for your address.

Freight note: inspect the crate before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery — that record is what supports a carrier claim.

❓ Double Cylinder Rotating Base Questions, Answered

What does the Double Cylinder Rotating Base do?

It provides the powered rotation for EZ Spot UR tool heads. Two 2.5 x 12.5 inch cylinders turn a 2.94 inch square shaft through 127 degrees to the operator's left. The tool head itself does not rotate; the base rotates it.

Which EZ Spot UR tools fit this base?

Any EZ Spot UR tool head with a 3" square female receiver — which covers the claws, grapples, rock and tree hands, pot handler, rail tool, fork tools and barrel handler. The head slides onto the shaft and pins with a 3/4" pin.

How is this different from the Fixed Non-Rotating Base?

The Double Cylinder Rotating Base rotates the tool head 127 degrees under hydraulic power. The Fixed Non-Rotating Base does not rotate under power at all; its tool head can be indexed manually through 90 degrees and it has no moving parts to maintain. Choose this base when placement and tipping matter, the fixed base when you only lift and carry.

How long does it take to change tool heads?

Pull the 3/4" pin out of the shaft, slide the current head off and the next one on, refit the pin. No tools beyond the pin are required.

What hydraulic flow does the Double Cylinder Rotating Base need?

The Double Cylinder Rotating Base runs on 20–30 GPM at 3,000 psi through a standard auxiliary circuit with ¾" flush-face couplings rated to a 15 ksi burst pressure. A high-flow machine is not required.

How is the Double Cylinder Rotating Base shipped?

Shipping is calculated at checkout — add the Double Cylinder Rotating Base to your cart, enter your delivery address, and the freight charge is displayed before you complete the order. Lift gate service is available for residential deliveries and can be selected at checkout.
