About this product
Some clearing jobs are past what a bucket or a light grapple can handle. Standing trees, fence lines grown into the dirt, buried root balls that won't let go. The Dominator is built for exactly that. It is a tree and brush pulling grapple that clamps down with 1" thick AR400 steel jaws and tears roots out of the ground instead of just pushing them around. If you clear land for a living, this is the attachment that turns a two-day fight into an afternoon.
The included Grapple Guard adds a powered upper clamp, so you can grip a tree trunk and pull it with the root ball attached rather than snapping it off at the base and leaving the stump for later.
Specs and hydraulic requirements
The Dominator is heavy-duty from the frame out, weighing over 1,340 lbs with the Grapple Guard installed:
- Jaws: 1" thick AR400 high-strength steel with bolt-on AR400 root rippers and serrated sides
- Opening: 60" to grab large trunks and root balls
- Cylinders: twin 3.5" x 8" cross-tube welded cylinders producing 33,000 lbs of force each, over 66,000 lbs combined
- Frame: 3/4" vertical jaw braces, 3/4" upper and lower frame plates, 4" x 4" x 3/8" cross tubes
- Cylinder protection: 3/8" plate guards shield the cylinders when digging or pulling
- Pivots: 2" diameter CF 1045 main pivot pins with grease fittings at every point
- Hydraulics: includes 4,780 PSI hoses and flat-faced couplers
- Operation: dig and pull with the jaws open or closed
- Finish: abrasive blasted and powder coated
The Grapple Guard wiring harness is included and ships ready to run. Bobcat machines use a 7-pin connection and carry an additional cost; all other makes use the 14-pin setup. We call you after you order to confirm your make and model.
Does it fit your machine?
The Dominator mounts with universal quick attach and fits standard skid steers and compact track loaders, including Bobcat, John Deere, Kubota, Cat, Takeuchi, New Holland, Case, and Gehl. The only machine-specific detail is the electrical connection for the Grapple Guard: Bobcat runs a 7-pin plug, everything else runs 14-pin. Pick your variant to match, and we verify it with you before the unit ships.
Dominator grapple vs a standard grapple bucket vs a tree puller
A grapple bucket like the EZ Grapple is built to scoop and carry brush, rock, and loose debris. The Dominator is built to pull. Its dual cylinders and root rippers let it extract standing trees and buried root balls that a bucket grapple would only drag. Compared to a dedicated tree puller with no grapple, the Dominator's powered upper clamp means you keep hold of the tree and the root ball together instead of losing the top once it breaks free. If your work is cleanup and material handling, buy the grapple bucket. If your work is taking trees and stumps out at the root, this is the tool.
