Overview
The Dashboard MFT Surface-Mount Crosscut Fence for Track Saw Benches (F10001) is the F1 Surface Mount Fence from Dash-Board Portable Workshop: a 30" (762 mm) anodized aluminum fence that mounts on top of any workbench with a 20 mm hole grid. This is a track saw crosscut fence designed for repeatable 90 degree crosscuts on MFT-style benches. Model Number F10001 sets up in seconds, holds a dead-square reference edge for production work, and lifts off and stores flat or standing when the job is done.
The F1 was designed as the companion to the Dashboard F2 Surface-Mount Crosscut and Miter Fence. On a right-cutting setup, the F2 is the primary reference edge on the left side of the blade, and the F1 extends backing and support for material on the right side. That means offcuts stay supported through the cut instead of sagging and pinching the blade, and long parts sit flat against a fence on both sides of the rail.
The fence is built from Dash-Board's proprietary anodized aluminum extrusion, which resists wear, marking, and corrosion in the shop and on the jobsite. The profile measures 1.1" (28 mm) wide by 1.5" (38 mm) tall. Two rubber bumpers protect the fence ends and your floor when you stand it against a wall between uses.
Repeat cuts are where the F1 earns its spot on the bench. Add the Dashboard Reversible Flip Stop and you can set repeat dimensions on the right side of the blade as well as the left. For cabinet parts, shelving, and drawer components, that doubles your setups: cut one length off the left and a second length off the right without resetting a stop.
Saw compatibility is broad. Unlike the F2, which is built around right-cutting saws, the F1 works with Festool and Makita-style rails, Bosch and Mafell rails, DeWALT and Metabo rails, plus Powertec, Milwaukee, WEN, and Grizzly saws, with the blade on either side of the rail. With a right-cutting saw, the F1 extends the F2's reference to the right. With a left-cutting saw, the F1 becomes your primary fence and the F2 supports the right side. Shops and crews mixing rail brands can run one fence system for every saw they own.
Mounting uses Dash-Board's Fence Block system. The two included blocks slide along the extrusion to line up with whatever hole spacing your bench uses, drop into the 20 mm holes, and lock down with all-metal knobs. The fence works on Dash-Board's portable MFT workbenches, Festool MFT-style tables, and DIY benches built on a 20 mm grid. It also mounts on Dashboard Track Stars for added crosscut capacity beyond the edge of the bench.
Who should buy it? Cabinet and furniture makers, finish carpenters, and woodworkers running a track saw on an MFT-style bench who want repeatable square crosscuts and support on both sides of the blade. If you already own the F2, the F1 is the logical next piece. If you run a left-cutting saw, start here.
Support on Both Sides of the Blade
Long stock needs a fence on both sides of the cut. The F1 picks up where the primary fence ends, keeping parts flat and square through the cut and holding the offcut so it does not drop and bind the blade.
- 30" (762 mm) fence length
- Accepts the Reversible Flip Stop for right-side repeat cuts
Set Up on Any 20 mm Bench
The fence mounts on top of the bench, not under it, so it works on the DashBoard Portable MFT Workbench as well as other tops on a 20 mm grid. Slide the blocks to the hole pattern, drop them in, and tighten the knobs.
- 2 sliding Fence Blocks included
- Tool-free installation with all-metal knobs
Locks Down Without Tools
The Fence Blocks ride in the extrusion and clamp with metal knobs, so the fence stays where you set it cut after cut. Moving it to a new position takes seconds.
- Proprietary anodized aluminum extrusion
- 1.1" (28 mm) wide x 1.5" (38 mm) tall profile

Pro Tip
Running a left-cutting saw? Set the F1 up as your primary reference fence and use the F2 for support on the other side. The F1 is the fence in the pair that works with the blade on either side of the rail.
Tool Nut's Take
The Dashboard MFT Surface-Mount Crosscut Fence (F10001) Finishes the Crosscut Setup
A primary fence gets you square cuts; adding the F1 gets you support and repeat stops on both sides of the blade.
- Who it's for: Track saw users on MFT-style benches who cut cabinet, shelf, and furniture parts to repeat lengths.
- Why it stands out: Tool-free mounting on any 20 mm grid, rigid anodized aluminum, and compatibility with left- and right-cutting saws.
- Worth knowing: The F1 is a straight crosscut fence; angled cuts are the F2's job. Buying both? The Dashboard MFT Crosscut Fence Bundle packages them together. Gen 2 parts do not mix with Gen 1.
Common Questions
- What is the difference between the F1 and F2 fences? The F2 is 54-3/4" (1390 mm) long, comes with three Fence Blocks, works as the primary reference and miter fence, and is built for right-cutting saws. The F1 is 30" (762 mm) long with two Fence Blocks and works with both left- and right-cutting saws.
- Do I need the F1 if I already have the F2? You need it if your workpieces regularly hang off the right side of the bench, if you want repeat stops on the right side of the blade, or if you run a left-cutting track saw.
- Will it fit my bench? It fits any workbench with a 20 mm hole grid. The Fence Blocks slide along the extrusion to match the hole spacing.
- Can I use it with my older Dash-Board flip stops? No. Gen 2 fences and flip stops cannot be mixed with Gen 1 parts.
