About this product

Dancer's Pads - Economy Felt (also known as sesamoid pads) shift weight away from the big toe joint and sesamoid bones of the feet onto a soft pad, relieving big toe joint pain and discomfort. The unique cut-out shape off-loads weight away from the first metatarsal joint. Wear Economy Felt Dancer's Pads on the skin or in shoes. May be placed on orthotics as well for additional comfort. Please click on our demonstration video tab (above) for advice on proper placement. Economy Felt Dancer's Pads are 1/4" thick adhesive-backed pads. Right/left specific. By Myfootshop.com. 2 per pack.

Choosing right or left: Choosing the correct dancer's pad for your specific needs can sometimes be tricky. Here are some examples of how to choose the correct pad -

  • If you are having trouble with your left big toe joint and want to wear the Dancers' Pads on your skin, then you should buy a package of "left" Dancer's Pads.
  • If you want to treat your left foot and place the pads in your shoes on top of your insole, you need to reverse them (you're flipping them over to go in the shoe), so you should purchase a package of "right" Dancer's Pads.
  • If you wish to stick them underneath your insole, then you would buy "lefts." Since the sticky side is up, just like if you were to stick them to your foot, you need "left" Dancer's Pads.
  • The opposite is true if you are having trouble with your right big toe joint.

If you wish to off-load a problem beneath the little toe joint, and you wish to apply the dancer's pad to the skin, then you would purchase the opposite side that you would need if you were treating your big toe. If you are treating your left 5th toe and want to place the pad on the bottom of your foot, you should purchase a package of "right" Dancers' Pads. If you wish to place the pad in your right shoe to treat a problem beneath the little toe joint, then you would do the opposite and purchase a package of "left" Dancer's Pads. Confused?
