About this product
Cozinha Velha’s blue-and-white porcelain soup plates give the first course a distinct place within the meal. A recessed center is surrounded by the collection’s floral border and gold details; the set of four brings that decoration around the table without losing the useful depth of a soup plate.
“The blue border reminds me of the pleasure of a proper first course: soup brought to the table, bread within reach and everyone settling into the meal together.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

MAKER / HERITAGE
Founded in Ílhavo, Portugal, in 1824, Vista Alegre brings two centuries of decorative knowledge to the art of setting a table and furnishing a home. Its porcelain tradition combines technical precision with artistic work, including a specialist hand-painting workshop for selected pieces; crystal and glass extend that vocabulary into the bar and the room beyond. Collaborations with designers such as Oscar de la Renta and Sam Baron keep the house’s heritage in conversation with contemporary life. The result is a breadth of patterns, forms and disciplines from which to build a service or collection with lasting personal character.
