About This Item
- RED COLLAPSIBLE SILICONE STRAINER SET OF 2 – 8" AND 9.5" SIZES – Two silicone made for kitchen use colanders — one 8" and one 9.5" diameter — that collapse flat to 1.25" for drawer storage. BPA tested. Dishwasher safe. Heat resistant to 212F (full boiling point). Use for draining pasta, rinsing vegetables, straining fruit, and washing produce. A two-size set gives you the right strainer for any batch size.
- COLLAPSES TO 1.25" FLAT – STORES IN A KITCHEN DRAWER – After draining, press down on the silicone bowl and each strainer folds completely flat. Together they reach only 1.25" high — they slide into a kitchen drawer, a camper locker, or a bag. Verified buyer K (10 helpful votes): ‘I was able to reach in and slide them out easily. Not to mention that now I no longer have the big metal colanders in the way.’
- HEAT RESISTANT TO 212F – Dishwasher use – Rated for direct contact with boiling water at 212F (100°C — the full boiling point). Drain boiling pasta, blanched vegetables, and scalded noodles directly without warping, melting, or discolouring. BPA tested silicone made for kitchen use. Dishwasher use. Verified buyer Pat H.: ‘Boiling water does not affect them.’
- DRAINAGE SPEED NOTE – NO TALL FEET – The silicone drainage holes pass liquid at a moderate pace — slower than fine-mesh or perforated metal strainers. Verified buyer Jeff: ‘Water does not drain fast — takes a little while.’ Drain slowly with large pasta batches. Foot note: the strainer base is slightly raised but has no tall feet — rest in the sink or over a bowl rather than on a flat counter. Verified buyer Dr Delmar: ‘I wish they had feet — I have to put them in a pot.’
- SUITED FOR SMALL KITCHENS, RVs, AND CAMPING – HOUSEWARMING AND KITCHEN present – Verified buyer Tracee Hinrich (RV user): ‘We live in an RV and space is limited. These are so nice to have. Absolutely love them.’ A two-size set covers solo servings (8") and full-pot batches (9.5"). A reliable housewarming, wedding, and birthday kitchen present.
