Chevy Small & Big Block V8 Pro Series Ready to Run Distributor with Fixed Collar

Get precise, repeatable spark timing with this TSP Pro Series Ready-to-Run distributor, featuring a circuit board module and magnetic pickup that eliminate the wear and drift of points-based systems. A fixed collar on the distributor housing provides a consistent reference point for body alignment at the engine block — timing is set using the traditional method of rotating the distributor and securing it with a hold-down clamp.

This is a ready-to-run design with an internal ignition module — no external ignition box required. An external coil rated at 35,000 volts or higher is required (not included). Three advance bushings and four advance springs are included for mechanical advance curve tuning, along with a vacuum advance block-off plate, tachometer output extension cable, power extension cable, and color-matched spark plug wire retainer.

Distributor rotation is clockwise. Not compatible with tall-deck big block, LS, or Gen V LT platforms — verify your engine's deck height before ordering.

Fits Chevrolet Small Block V8 Gen I: 4.3L/262, 4.3L/265, 4.4L/267, 4.6L/283, 4.9L/302, 5.0L/305, 5.0L/307, 5.4L/327, 5.7L/350, 6.6L/400 in³. Also fits Chevrolet Big Block V8 Gen II (Mark IV), standard deck only: 6.5L/396, 6.6L/402, 7.0L/427, 7.4L/454 in³. Common on Camaro (1967–1981), Chevelle/Malibu/El Camino (1964–1977), Nova (1966–1979), Impala/Bel Air/Biscayne (1955–1976), Corvette (1955–1982), Monte Carlo (1970–1977), and Chevrolet/GMC C/K trucks (1955–1987).

Installation
Fixed collar design — distributor depth is pre-set and non-adjustable. Requires a 12-volt electrical system with alternator and a performance ignition coil rated 35,000V or higher — not compatible with generator-equipped systems or a ballast resistor. Not compatible with tall-deck big block (366ci, tall-deck 427ci truck) or LS/Gen V LT platforms. Verify distributor gear compatibility with camshaft material before installation.
