The Calliope Basket is a great beginner project. Natural raffia coils beautifully, transitioning organically from one color to another, creating a lightweight, unique basket. Learn this wonderful basic basketweaving technique, while not worrying too much about counting or exactness. Shape your basket however is desired, from a flat to a curved container. There are so many ways to play with using two colors in your basketry–this freehand technique is a great place to start, and each kit includes enough materials to make two baskets.

Care Instructions: Spot clean or gently hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry. Avoid agitation to prevent unravelling or fraying.
