A high proportion of their materials are raw and renewable, originating from natural sources such as cork, wool felt, copper, and brass. In addition, all Birkenstock suppliers must adhere to social and environmental standards, and pass their qualification process. We’re happy to be one of the few graduates.

Materials And Care
- To ensure longevity, avoid direct sunlight, extreme heat and submerging footwear into water
- Over saturation can compromise the integrity of the sealant materials
- It can also change the look and finish of the materials.
- If your shoes become wet, allow them to air dry slowly, away from direct heat
- To keep your footwear fresh, spray the entire footbed with Birkenstock Cleaner & Refresher and wipe away excess moisture and dirt with a cloth. Brush suede and Nubuck footbeds with a Nubuck/Suede brush to restore the nap. After completely dry, apply a thin coat of Birkenstock Cork Sealer to protect the cork from the elements
