About this product

Product Description

The BEMIS 88SLOW 000 is a round, closed-front toilet seat with a built-in child potty seat designed for households transitioning young children to adult toilet use. The adult ring and cover are constructed from durable molded wood with a high-gloss white enamel finish that resists chipping and scratching. The integrated plastic child seat secures magnetically into the underside of the cover when not in use, keeping the installation tidy. WhisperClose hinges allow the seat and cover to lower slowly and quietly with a light tap, preventing slamming and reducing the risk of pinched fingers. Licensed plumbers and general contractors typically handle installation, though this seat is straightforward enough for a knowledgeable homeowner.

This seat is suited for residential bathrooms where both adults and young children share the same fixture. The built-in child potty seat eliminates the need for a separate standalone training seat. The child seat is fully removable when no longer needed or for routine cleaning. The STA-TITE fastening system anchors the seat securely to the bowl and resists loosening over time. Easy Clean and Change hinges allow complete seat removal for thorough cleaning or replacement without additional tools.

Installation Notes

Turn off the water supply and flush the toilet before beginning seat replacement to keep the work area clean and dry. Remove the existing seat by loosening the hinge bolts from beneath the bowl rim. Align the STA-TITE fasteners with the bowl mounting holes and tighten until secure, following the fastener manufacturer guidelines to avoid overtightening porcelain. Confirm the seat sits level and the WhisperClose hinges operate freely before returning the fixture to service.
