BEFCO Primary Seeder SRT

The Seed-Rite SRT Primary Seeder is designed to simplify and maximize your turf seeding work. Whether you're working on lawns, golf courses, parks, sports fields, or hay fields, this seeder delivers even seed distribution and reliable seedbed preparation for healthy, consistent growth.

Thanks to its lightweight but durable build — including nylon and fiberglass composite roller rings — the Seed-Rite SRT attaches easily to tractors with 25–70 HP, giving you versatility even with moderate-power equipment.

With a 74″ seeding width and a generous 7.0 cu. ft. hopper capacity, you can cover large areas efficiently — reducing time in the field and delivering a uniform seed layer across the soil.

After seeding, dual corrugated rollers work to both level the surface and gently press seeds into the soil, creating ideal conditions for germination. For heavier soils or extra compaction, optional cast-iron roller rings further enhance performance.

Precise Seed Metering System

The seeder uses 10 high-precision metering seed cups and a ground-driven drop system, ensuring uniform seed distribution and accurate placement for optimal germination.

Generous Hopper Capacity

A 7.0 cu. ft. seed hopper allows you to cover large areas without frequent refilling — ideal for lawns, sports turf, or hay fields covering many acres.

Wide Working Width

With a 74″ working width the Seeder covers a broad swath each pass, boosting productivity and cutting down time required for large-scale seeding jobs.

Dual Corrugated Rollers for Soil Preparation

Front and rear corrugated rollers level the ground before seeding, then press seeds into the soil after drop — creating an even seedbed and promoting better seed-to-soil contact.

Durable, Lightweight Build

Roller rings are constructed from nylon/fiberglass composite for a lighter overall weight — enabling use with tractors in the 25–70 HP range — yet offering rugged durability for demanding turf work.

Flexible & Easy Attachment

The Seeder uses Cat. 1 3-point linkage, is compatible with standard quick hitches, and includes lift hooks for quicker loading/unloading — making it a versatile add-on for many tractors.
