True low-volume fit. Snug heel. Precise through the midfoot. The Ultra 95 W is one of the more legitimately low-volume women's boots we carry, but the shape is anatomical enough that it doesn't feel unnecessarily aggressive. Heel hold is excellent, and the liner does a good job wrapping the ankle without creating the pressure points older versions of the Ultra were sometimes known for.
Length is true to size, although don't be surprised if your big toe feels a little jammed when you first put it on. Once the liner is molded and starts to break in, that feeling goes away. The cuff is surprisingly accommodating for a low-volume boot and can handle more calf than you might expect.
At a 95 flex, this boot hits a really useful spot. Supportive enough for advanced skiers, approachable enough for someone progressing out of softer boots. Both the shell and liner are heat moldable, so we can take an already precise fit and clean up the spots that need it. If you have a narrow foot and want a locked-in fit without jumping into a super stiff boot, the Ultra 95 W is an easy one for us to recommend.
