About this product

Women's Timp 6 GTX
Description Key Features Specifications care

Full confidence for a full send — in any weather. The Timp 6 GTX adds GORE-TEX Invisible Fit waterproofing to Altra's premium trail runner, so you can chase trail euphoria through puddles, mud, and rain without compromising the grippy, cushioned performance the Timp is known for. A Vibram® Megagrip outsole delivers unparalleled grip on wet and dry surfaces, while Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam provides a light, luxurious, and responsive ride for all-day trail running and hiking adventures. Built for full-send trail days no matter the forecast.

GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Waterproof
GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper is designed for lightweight, waterproof performance — full weather protection without bulk, stiffness, or weight penalty.
Vibram® Megagrip Outsole
Vibram® Megagrip is a high-performance sticky rubber that offers unparalleled grip on both wet and dry surfaces, rugged longevity, and optimal ground adaptability. Designed for improved grip on all terrain.
Altra EGO™ MAX Midsole
Get a little extra bounce and added durability with unique Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam — light, luxurious, and built to last on long trail days.
GaiterTrap™ Trail Gaiter Tab
GaiterTrap™, our unique hook-and-loop tab, allows for easy strapless gaiter attachment without fasteners, bungees, or bindings. Trail debris in your shoes? No thanks.
Standard FootShape™ Fit
With Altra's signature FootShape™ fit, you get plenty of room to help your toes move freely, with a secure midfoot — Standard last for the right balance of space and security.
Zero-Drop Platform
A natural 0mm heel-to-toe drop encourages proper alignment, low-impact landing, and an efficient stride on technical terrain.

Cleaning
Remove loose dirt and trail debris with a soft brush or damp cloth. Rinse with water for stubborn mud. Avoid harsh detergents or machine washing.
Drying
Air dry at room temperature. Stuff with paper to maintain shape. Avoid direct heat or sunlight which can degrade GORE-TEX membrane and adhesives.
Outsole Care
Rinse Vibram® Megagrip lugs after each trail run to remove mud, debris, and small stones from traction grooves.
Waterproof Maintenance
To maintain GORE-TEX waterproof performance, clean regularly and re-apply a DWR (durable water repellent) treatment periodically to the upper.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep loose or in original box to maintain shape and protect trail lugs.
Midsole Care
Allow Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam to decompress between runs. Rotate pairs to extend midsole life on long trail days.
