The TL3-HDR4 kit features ACT’s most popular Heavy Duty pressure plate, designed to provide increased holding power and durability for high-performance driving. ACT Heavy Duty pressure plates utilize an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life. Each diaphragm undergoes a four-stage heat-treating process to ensure exceptional strength, consistency, and long-term performance. Precision-stamped pressure plate covers further enhance rigidity and reliability. This kit includes ACT’s 4-pad rigid race disc, constructed from high-quality ceramic friction materials for excellent torque capacity and heat resistance. The heat-treated chrome-moly hub delivers outstanding strength and durability, while the lightweight, rigid design promotes quicker shifts and smooth, reliable operation. Compared to street-style discs, the 4-pad rigid race disc offers faster shifting with a more aggressive engagement. This disc configuration is well suited for smaller disc sizes commonly used in lower-displacement engines.
