Product Description
Protect your Yamaha’s chassis and engine cases with the Acerbis MX-Style Skid Plate (2690690001). Engineered specifically for high-performance Yamaha 4-stroke platforms, this guard is constructed from lightweight, shock-resistant polypropylene. This material absorbs energy during heavy impacts, effectively shielding your bike’s vulnerable undercarriage from rock strikes, trail debris, and harsh landings without the weight penalty of alloy skid plates.
The MX-style design excels in diverse riding conditions, including deep sand and heavy mud, by providing a smooth surface that helps the bike glide over obstacles. Beyond impact defense, this plate’s material properties help dampen mechanical noise and contribute to improved thermal management, allowing your engine to run quieter and cooler. The installation process is fast and straightforward, allowing you to spend more time on the track or trail and less time in the garage.

A: Yes, the MX-style design is specifically crafted to provide lightweight, shock-resistant protection essential for high-intensity motocross and off-road riding.
Q: Will this skid plate hold its shape after taking hard hits?
A: Yes, the shock-resistant polypropylene material is designed to absorb and dissipate impact energy rather than bending or denting like traditional metal guards.
