Product Description
Protect your Kawasaki KX250F with the Acerbis MX-Style Skid Plate (2188330001). Engineered specifically for motocross and competitive off-road use, this guard is constructed from high-impact, shock-resistant polypropylene. This material provides essential coverage for your engine cases and frame rails, absorbing energy from rocks and track obstacles without the risk of denting or cracking associated with rigid metal plates.
The Acerbis MX-style design is optimized for performance in diverse conditions, including deep sand and mud. The polypropylene composition also helps your engine run cooler and quieter by dampening mechanical vibration. The plate is designed for rapid installation, ensuring your maintenance routine remains efficient so you can spend more time on the track.

Year Range Vehicle Brand Vehicle Model 2009-2016 Kawasaki KX250FFrequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this skid plate intended for off-road racing or track riding?
A: Yes, the MX-style design is specifically engineered to handle the demands of both motocross track conditions and high-speed off-road environments.
Q: Does the polypropylene material wear down faster than aluminum?
A: On the contrary, polypropylene is highly resilient; it flexes to absorb impact energy, which allows it to maintain its structural integrity without the permanent denting often found on aluminum plates after heavy use.
Expert Pro-Tip: Because motocross involves high-frequency vibration, ensure all mounting bolts are torqued correctly after your first ride and during regular maintenance intervals. A secure mount ensures maximum protection and prevents vibration wear between the guard and engine cases.
