The lighter feel makes it easier to keep the thumb underneath the ball and snap the mitt back to a level position after receiving the pitch — a key piece of clean, confident pitch framing.
For 2027, the FPM23SS updates to a Dual Post Web, chosen to make the mitt easier to break in while still maintaining the durability needed for one of the toughest positions on the field. The Drawstring Closure uses adjustable rawhide laces at the wrist, allowing fastpitch catchers to customize the fit to their preference.
