About this product
A CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum rear spring spacer kit for the 2021–2024 Ram TRX that adds rear ride height from inside the stock spring bucket. The plates sit directly above the stock rear spring, so the body rises by the same amount as the spacer thickness.
If the rear of your truck sits low, or sags with a load in the bed, this brings the height back up and adds preload to the rear spring. Choose a 3/4" plate for a stock application, or a 1" plate when the truck runs the FMI rear bump stop kit.
What Is In The Kit
- 1 set of spring spacer plates in the thickness you choose (3/4" or 1")
- 1 set of longer mounting hardware
Why A Rear Spring Spacer
A spacer above the coil spring raises the body without changing the spring itself. Because the plate sits directly on top of the spring, the added height at the body matches the plate thickness one for one.
What it does not do is add wheel travel. Rear travel on the TRX is limited by the shock, and a spacer does not change the shock. What you get is ride height and added spring preload, which is useful for leveling the truck or getting the height back when the rear is loaded down.
Thickness And Stacking
3/4" plate: stock application. Adds 3/4" of rear height.
1" plate: requires the Foutz Motorsports TRX rear bump stop kit to work correctly. Anything more than 3/4" of spacer requires that bump stop kit.
You can stack multiple kits to reach the height you want, raising the truck as much as 1" to 1.75" depending on how many plates you add. With the FMI bump stop kit, the approved stacks are:
- 3/4" and 3/4"
- 3/4" and 1"
Do not stack two 1" plates. The springs will go into spring bind. We do not recommend going more than 1.75" total height, because of the risk of spring bind in the rear suspension.
How It Is Built
- 6061-T6 aluminum
- CNC machined for a precision look and fit
- Sits in the stock spring bucket, above the stock spring
- Longer mounting hardware included
Fitment
Fits the Ram TRX, model years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Works with the FMI add-on hydraulic bump stop kit.
Installation
The plates install above the stock spring in the stock spring bucket, using the longer mounting hardware in the kit.
Questions
How much lift does it add?
The same as the plate thickness: 3/4" with the 3/4" plate. Stacking kits can raise the truck as much as 1" to 1.75".
Do I need the bump stop kit?
For a single 3/4" plate, no. Anything more than 3/4", including the 1" plate or any stack, requires the FMI rear bump stop kit to work correctly.
Can I stack two 1" plates?
No. Two 1" plates will put the springs into spring bind. The approved stacks are 3/4" with 3/4", or 3/4" with 1", both with the FMI bump stop kit.
Will it add wheel travel?
No. Rear wheel travel is limited by the shock. The spacer adds ride height and preload to the rear spring.
Will it help a truck that sags with a load?
Yes. If the rear is loaded down, the spacer helps get the height back up.
What is it made from?
6061-T6 aluminum, CNC machined.
