About this product
1 7/8 USS Flat Washer Plain. USS pattern flat washers are manufactured from low carbon steel to meet ASTM F844. Zinc plated material will meet or exceed ASTM F1941, and it will add excellent corrosion resistance to the washer. Hot-Dip Galvanized material will meet or exceed ASTM A153, and the galvanization process will also provide better overall durability and longevity.
When paired with an appropriately sized screw or bolt, 1⅞ flat washers will help to distribute the fastener load over a wide surface, which strengthens the hold and reduces the likelihood of slippage. These washers will also help with covering oversized holes, providing spring tension or sealing an electrical connection.
